I wound up at Hand Surgery Associates after an accident on July, 1983. At the time, the practice included my doctor, Joel Grad, was one of the younger partners. I was so impressed at their apparent brotherly relationship, how low-key and calming each one was. Their individual brilliance led by Dr. Beasley could not have been more reassuring to those of us with frightening, traumatic hand injuries. Dr. Grad did call in Dr. Beasley on a few of my visits. As anxious as I was, Dr. Beasley assured me that they would take fine care of me. I returned ten years later for reconstructive surgery on the same hand. The innovations and then, newest surgical techniques pioneered by Dr. Beasley and all have made my life so much better along with countless others. I am so very grateful to have been treated by this practice and hope that Dr. Beasley knew how much this medical group improved thousands of others' lives as well. I only recwntly learned of his passing. I was fortunate to meet Dr. Grad socially again to thank him in person. I wish I could have thanked Dr. Beasley as well.
