Robert Gordon, Jr. was born on November 26, 1933 in Greenville, Mississippi. He was the eldest of five children, born to the union of Robert and Emma Gordon. Robert came to San Diego in 1945. He received his formal education from Point Loma High School. Robert accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.Robert had a profound love for trains, coins, Blues music and was big on family. Robert was also a Past-Grand Mason 33/95 for many years. Robert also had a love for writing, but the only problem with that was he would write so small that he would be the only one that would be able to read it.Robert was a hard-working man, He worked for over 50 years at Convare, Rohr Industry, and BF Good-Wrench. Robert was also the President of a work furlough program called “Model X Offenders”.Robert was preceded in death by his father Robert Gordon, Sr., Mother Emma Gordon, 3 brothers: Thomas, Earl, and Joe Gordon and 3 sons: Bobby, Johnny, and Donny Gordon. Robert leaves to mourn him, his loving wife of 31 years Debrough Gordon, his first wife Linnie Gordon, his 6 children Cherie, Janice, Mark, and Frank Gordon, Joe Odom, and Tamaal Jones; his Sister Emma Jean Gordon of Los Angeles California; 20 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
