Robert J. Lavallee's Obituary
Robert J. Lavallee, age 92, a former resident of Lowell, MA for over 65 years and has since resided in San Diego, CA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
Bob, affectionately known by many as “Lefty”, was the husband of Carole (Reilly) Lavallee and father to Gail Walsh of Scottsdale, AZ and David Lavallee of Perth, Scotland.
Bob entered the United States Air Force in 1953 and served in the Korean War in the 335th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, stationed in Kimpo, South Korea. He was very proud to have served his country. As a Staff Sergeant in Biloxi, MS he became an electronics instructor to young air force students in the classroom.
Following his service to his country, Bob enjoyed a long and dedicated career with Raytheon Manufacturing Company in South Lowell, MA, where he worked as an Electronic Technician for 41 years.
Bob enjoyed listening to music, watching classic films, following horse racing, and relaxing with a Manhattan. Bob and Carole traveled to many countries together in his retirement years. They had many adventures on bus trips to Las Vegas and traveled to Canada, Australia, France and throughout the United Kingdom while enjoying it all!
In addition to his wife Carole and their children Gail and David, he is survived by his son-in-law, Kevin Walsh, daughter-in-law, Ruth Lavallee, and three treasured grandsons: Joseph, Noah, and Reuben Lavallee.
A private inurnment will be held at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA.
