Robert Alvin Mollett's Obituary
Robert Alvin Mollett was born in Illinois on July 29th, 1939 to his proud parents, Lloyd David Mollett and Anita S. Bloemker. He is the eldest of five children. His brothers Harlan and Richard have preceded him in death and he has two surviving sisters, Marilyn Salovich and Diane Baney. Robert dedicated 20 years of his life as a Chief Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, Robert met the love of his life, Marie, who was also serving her country in the Navy when they met. It was love at first sight and they were married just six weeks later in 1961. Robert’s career in the Navy meant the family moved as well as grew. After four children, Robert was finally stationed at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego where he completed his military service. Upon retiring from his service in the US Navy, Robert continued his medical career at Grossmont Hospital. Robert passed away on June 4th, 2018 in Bonita, California. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie Elizabeth Mollett, his 4 children; Linda Rose, Janice Hester, Lloyd Mollett and Robert Mollett, Jr.. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren; Aimee, Marshall, Melissa, Wyatt, Brittany and Brandon, his great grandchild Avari and his step grandchild Lucas Cram. Robert will be dearly missed by friends and family. His memories will always be cherished.
