Dr. Robert L. Reese's Obituary
Dr. Robert L. (Bob) Reese was fatally injured in a traffic accident on May 11, 2015 in Coronado, CA. Dr. Reese and his family had moved to Coronado in January after making their home in Tucson since 1976. Dr. Reese is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda (Hill) Reese, children Hilary (Reese) Peters and Colin G. Reese; granddaughter, Madeline Reese Peters; brother, William G. (Bill) Reese; and sister, Mary Reese Finley.Bob was born in Baltimore, MD on October 8, 1946. In 1951 he moved to Little Rock, AR with his parents, Dr. William G. Reese and Elizabeth Bahn Reese and his older brother. As a young man, Bob was active in scouting and became an Eagle Scout.Dr. Reese graduated from Hendrix College with a degree in Mathematics in 1968. While at Hendrix he was a member of the tennis team and was an avid bridge player. Dr. Reese earned his M.D. degree from the University of Arkansas in 1972. After completing his internship and residency in Radiology, Dr. Reese and his wife, Linda, settled in Tucson where he began his radiology practice at Thomas-Davis Clinic. He continued practicing radiology until 2012.Bob loved all outdoor activities, particularly skiing, swimming, tennis, golf, and hiking. He was also very interested in genealogy and was happy to assist others as well. He was a very involved parent with his children’s activities and sports. He loved playing with his granddaughter Maddie and it was one of his great joys to be present during her birth.A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 4p.m. at Catalina Foothills Church located at 2150 E. Orange Grove Road, Tucson, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Alzheimer’s Association through alz.org.
