Robert Paul Sedlock's Obituary
Born in San Diego, California to Robert P Sedlock and Eugenie Seifert Sedlock.
Stockbroker for 41 years.
Member of St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral since 1983, formerly of Grace Lutheran Church.
Founding President of the Board of Directors of Grace Lutheran Developments in 1965. For 20 years, he served as President to help Pastor John C. Jacobsen realize his dream to provide residential housing for low-income senior citizens. Currently, over 600 people are residing in Grace Tower, Cathedral Arms and Trinity Manor on Park Boulevard near Grace Lutheran Church. During the same period, he also served as a founding Board member of Home of Guiding Hands, which was started by a group of Lutheran volunteers in 1967.
He had a great love of music. He served both churches as Chairman of the Music Committee multiple times. He was also involved in the restoration of the pipe organs at both churches.
He graduated from San Diego State University in 1958. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. During his college yeas, he was a member of the debate team, earning many awards.
Mr. Sedlock is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Marilen Hage Sedlock, their sons Paul H. Sedlock of San Diego, and Mark S. Sedlock, daughter-in-law Shannon and grandson Nathan of South Lake Tahoe, California. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn S. Rentto and her family.
