Robert Guilford Tucker's Obituary
Robert was born in Buffalo, New York on August tenth nineteen twenty two. His dad moved around a bit for his job, but Robert was fortunate to live some of his teen years in the Detroit area. He loved to walk around to the various car factories, showrooms and dealers to see the latest cars. He could identify a car just by the tail lights. He also was an avid collector of automobile catalogs and literature, which he picked up regularly or mailed away for.Robert taught high school English for one year in Michigan. He followed his parents out to California after they moved there. His lifelong career was working for the Postal Service in San Diego. He married and had three children; Mark, Pat and Sue. He lost his wife Barbara in December 2005. He was glad to live a long life and would always say, “I’ve had a good run.”
