Celebrating the Life of Robert UribeRobert was born on August 6, 1931 in El Paso, Texas. He came to San Diego when he was 4 years old. He grew up in the Logan Heights area and attended San Diego High School where he ran track.Robert served in the Air Force for a short time during the Korean war. A short time after his discharge he met and married Alice Packard. They lived in National City for 44 years and had 2 children. His younger daughter, Roberta, preceded Robert & Alice in death. Their daughter, Jennie, was an educator for 30 years and recently retired.Robert spent 30 + years working in construction and worked all over San Diego, Escondido and the Los Angles areas. In addition to construction work, Robert enjoyed gardening and making repairs at both his and his daughter’s home.Country music and western movies and TV shows were among Robert’s favorite past times. Robert is survived by his daughter, Jennie, bother Mike (Helen), his niece Michele, nephews John, Richard and Michael, great-nephews Jon, Marco and Daniel, great-great-nieces Vanessa and Dahrma, great-great-nephew Jeremy.
