In Loving Memory of Roberto Gonzalez 1945 – 2016Roberto Gonzalez passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California. Roberto was born December 1, 1945 in Jalisco, Mexico. He is survived by his sister Carmen Gautier, his brother Rafael Gonzalez and his sister, Elisa Valdez as well as nieces and nephews.Roberto was a Chef for 30 years at Casa Machado. He loved the outdoors. Roberto spent most of his time riding his bicycle all over downtown San Diego. When he wasn’t riding his bicycle, he was exploring other parts of the city on bus or on trolley. He loved to take pictures of the places he visited. He was a very simple and private person. Roberto never married nor did he have any children, but he loved his nieces and nephews especially his grand nieces and nephews. He was a great brother and uncle and was very much loved by his family. He is greatly missed.The family requests that in lieu of flowers you make a donation to support the work of the Scripps Clinic Organ Transplant Program that helped Roberto’s life tremendously.
