Rodolfo Reyes Alejandrino's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Rodolfo Alejandrino
April 27, 1951 – February 26, 2026
Rodolfo “Rudy” / “Bobot” Alejandrino, 74, passed away peacefully in San Diego on February 26, 2026, surrounded by family. Born in Gerona, Philippines, to Felimon and Filomena, Rudy was the charismatic "honorary bunso" of seven siblings.
He married his college sweetheart, Elsie on June 10, 1977. In 1988, they moved to San Diego, where Rudy built a 25-year career with Toyota. A natural storyteller and mentor, he continued to help friends with Toyota training long after his retirement.
Rodolfo was a man of many passions—from HAM radio and fishing to playing guitar with friends. However, his greatest joy was his role as "Grampa." After receiving a heart transplant in 2017, he defied the odds for nearly a decade, fueled by the desire to play with his grandchildren and make them laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie; his children, Sherwin, Cherry, RJ, and Rodel; and his cherished grandchildren, Amina, Harrison, Azai, and Luke.
