Rodolfo Valerio Antonio's Obituary
Rodolfo (known to family and friends as Rudy) was born on April 17, 1933 in Baguio City, Philippines. He was the youngest of 13 children. He attended St. Louis Boys High School in Baguio. He also went to St. Louis College in Baguio before joining the Navy. On June 7, 1956, Rudy enlisted in the US Navy for 4 years. He married the LOVE of his life, Susana Salud Coquia on May 9, 1959 at Our Lady of the Atonement Cathedral, Baguio P.I. He was blessed with 59 years of marriage and 3 children; Raymond, Suzanne, and Ronnie. He lived a long life to the age of 90 years old.
After 20 years of service with the Navy, he retired. The next 20 years he worked for Civil Service at NAS North Island and MCAS Miramar. Rudy attended Southwestern College and received his Degree of Associate in Science for Automotive and Transportation Repair Technician on January 15, 1982. He received a second Degree of Associate in Science for Supervision on May 24, 1984.
Rudy had many hobbies; traveling the world, family vacations, bowling, movies, BBQ steaks for family gatherings and holidays. He was our handyman for around the house and on our cars. He could pretty much fix anything himself. But most of all, he LOVED spending time with all his grandchildren. Especially during birthdays and holidays. He would always call to wish us a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Rudy is survived by his children, son Raymond Antonio (Kristin), daughter Suzanne Knudsen (William), and son Ronnie Antonio. His legacy includes 7 grandchildren; Allison Antonio, Anastacia Knudsen, William Knudsen Jr. (Kayla), Samantha Antonio, Jessica Antonio, Jennifer Antonio, and Thalia Antonio. In addition, one surviving sister; Susing Floresca from Baguio City, Philippines.
