Roger Louis Warren's Obituary
Roger Louis Warren peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 27th, 2023 in San Diego, CA while listening to rock music.
Roger was born on May 29th, 1967 in Yuma, AZ to Sylvia Miramontes and Marion Earl Warren Jr. He was the fifth born of six children. Throughout his childhood, he moved between Yuma, AZ, Gainesville, GA, and San Diego, CA: where he would reside for the remainder of his life. As a child, Roger enjoyed football, baseball, riding bikes, building forts in the woods, swimming, and fishing. Roger attended McEver elementary school in Gainesville as well as Marston middle school and Madison high school in San Diego. For the majority of his career, Roger was an auto technician at Lincoln Mercury and Ford as well as a floor installer at Bonded Carpet. At the age of 20, Roger met Celeste Tarkany at Art Park in San Diego. Roger and Celeste bonded over music, friendship, and entertainment and fell in love with each other. On May 7, 1989, Roger and Celeste got married. He had three daughters with Celeste: Sarena, Teresa, and Jenna. Roger also took extreme pride in his sole granddaughter, Elliana; who he'd accept video phone calls from any time of day for any length of time, even if that meant he fell asleep on the phone with her.
His family and friends have lost a very important person. His passions included music, specifically heavy metal, going to concerts, cooking, boogie boarding at the beach, watching soap operas, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for the amazing dishes he cooked for his family and friends, such as his beef jerky, barbecues, and Roger dogs. Roger also subjected his family to his love of music - whether he was blasting Judas Priest in the house or taking others to concerts. He also loved animals, especially cats as he rescued several stray cats and gave them a loving home. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend.
Those who will miss Roger the most include his wife, Celeste Warren; his three daughters, Sarena Cano and her husband Sam Cano, Teresa Warren, and Jenna Warren; his granddaughter, Elliana Cano; his cat, Ripple; and a host of friends and other relatives such as his sisters and brother, in laws, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to Celeste Warren.
