Dearest Tiya Rosy,

Until now it is very hard for me to accept knowing you are gone.

I'm blessed I was able to take care of you back in July 2019 and had the opportunity to celebrate your birthday.

Thank you, too, for funding my studies back in the day when II was young and for all the help you've given to the rest of my family. To say thank you is not even enough for me to express how grateful I am for your kindness and love.

Lola Aba, how we call her in the Philippines, will always be treasured and loved. The last time she visited in 2015 was a joyful and memorable moment for the family in Manila.

Oh, God bless the memories I have with her! When we were young we would hold Christmas parties with her and there was "pabitin" with money gifts. She would fill a balikbayan box for us with toys, clothes and food. Most of all I thank her for being my mom's second Mom, for all the help you've given her and Papa.

My heart aches at the thought that we can't tell the news of her passing to her youngest sibling, Lola Payat. She is too old now and might get depressed if she hears the news. Life goes on for her, she would think of her "Ate" once and a while. Will God let her know by whisper, by a dream? I do not know.

Roses bloom and fade, so is life. There's a time to be born and a time to die, a time to laugh and a time to mourn. That's the circle of life.

But, praise God in the midst of pain esp for the children and grandchildren, Grandma's life has left a beautiful fragrance, a legacy.

Lola Aba, we love you and thank God for your life. Good bye for now!

Two times that I got to visit the US, you always welcomed me in your home, Grandma. And I'm glad I was able to spend moments of those two visits with you.
