Rosalva Durazo's Obituary
Rosalva Durazo, 80, died in Spokane, Washington due to complications from cancer. She was born in Sinaloa, Mexico, on January 7, 1937, and moved to San Diego, where she resided for over 60 years. She was married to Alfonso Durazo, with whom she had 5 children. After becoming widowed, she married Ramon Garcia De Alba and had 2 children. Rosalva held jobs at a local Tuna cannery and subsequently as a cook at Sherman Elementary school and The Broadway Home. She lived in her home for over 40 years and was beloved by all of her family, fellow parishioners, and everyone who came to know her. She enjoyed socializing and eating good food, particularly Mexican cuisine. Rosalva was known for her sense of humor. She often spent time with close friends, Lorraine Padilla and Clara Martin Teran, as well as members of her local church. Preceded in death by husbands, Alfonso Durazo and Ramon Garcia de Alba.
