To My Dear Neighbor Rosina. We moved next door to you in 1994. My father, mother and brothers and sisters. You were so welcoming to us as a growing family and I was very interested in your stories of the younger days growing up in National City. You had history in that community and I will always remember your smile and caring for my family. You welcomed us in your home with amazing Italian food and played volleyball in our front yard with us kids. You had a beer with my dad and we in turn we welcomed you to our many family functions. Rosie, you were and will always be part of our family and I dreaded the day you had to move. That was your home for so long and I know it was difficult for you. I will miss you dearly and you will always remain in our memories…..The Garcia Family

Diana,I was sad to hear of Rosina passing, I don't know if you remember me ButMy Grandmother Alicia Vega Hodge wasvery close to your Mom Rosina theygrew up as next door neighbors onMckinley Ave. (Westside) in National City. Your Grandmother and My GreatGrandmother were very close thus Rosinaand Alicia were like sisters to each other and like sisters I know they always did'nt see things the same waybut the love for each other was solid.My Grandmother passed away November 10th, 1997 almost 13 years ago, I had visited Rosina a few times before she moved, and I know how hard she tookmy grandmothers passing, she cried and said how much she missed her, WellDiana I missed your mom the last time I stopped by she was no longer living at the house on "N" ave the lady that answered said she moved to Oregon to be close to her daughter I'm glad you had that time to spend with her and I'm sure that was important to Rosina as well….my deepest sympathy for you and your family.
