Roy Zonne Moore's Obituary
Roy Zonne Moore 05.17.1930-09.07.2019, 89, went to be with our Lord September 7, 2019.Roy was born in Ash Grove, MO to Robert and Marie Moore. he was the oldest of 3 children. He was valedictorian of his graduating class from Ash Grove High School in 1948.He served in the U.S. Navy for four years in Electronics.Roy graduated from San Diego State University with an Electronics Engineer degree in 1962.Roy married the love of his life and best friend, Ann Chambers in June 1955. They were married 64 years. They lived and raised their children in the San Diego area all of those years. They have many life long friends with many memories together.He worked at North Island Naval Air Station in the Western Standards Lab as an Electronics Engineer for 31 years.Roy and Ann loved the Lord and loved to serve His people. He served as a deacon in their church for many years. Together, Roy and Ann also served in Gideons International in the San Diego area placing scriptures, touching many lives.Roy loved his family and was very devoted to his loving wife, children and grandsons.He loved to travel and always had a joke to tell. We have many memories from road trips. He was known for his gentle kindness, easy going personality and servant’s heart.He is survived by his wife, Ann, daughter Karen (Bobby) of Tuscon, AZ, son Byron of La Mesa, CA and his grandsons, Stephen, David (Vanessa) and Matthew.He will be forever missed by all who knew him.
