Rozanne Yen-Wah Lee's Obituary
Rozanne was born in Hong Kong, B.C. and had lived in many places: Sao Paulo Brazil, New York City, Marietta Georgia, San Diego, Mountain View, San Francisco, and Newark Silicon Valley. She held a BS degree in Chemistry (minor in math) from San Diego State University and a MS degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from San Francisco State University. She held patents for her work and had contributed to the “million-compound’ library that screens drugs for cancer research.Rozanne enjoyed traveling and she has seen many parts of the world, most of them in the last few years. She would spontaneously book a trip to Germany for a yoga 30th anniversary celebration, or ask Kimberly to fly from London to meet her and Bobby in Hong Kong for Christmas. She also enjoyed volunteered for Art of Living, helped those with cancer or were also a cancer survivor, and took food from her home to local shelters. She had a nickname of being the “fig lady” because she had a very productive fig tree in her backyard and would take figs to the nuns as often as possible. Everyone loved seeing Rozanne and loved eating the figs.She was always positive, endearing, and encouraging. It was common to see her send replies filled with smileys, hearts, and exclamation marks.Quality of Life was very important to Rozanne and she would wish the same for all of her family members and friends.
