McKeon, Ruby Charlene (nee Stafford) 04/27/1932 ~ 11/10/2013 SAN DIEGO — Ruby had the most beautiful, sparkling blue eyes. She was kind hearted, family oriented and a world traveler. She worked for 30 years at Cubic Corporation, where she was known as “Cubic’s Rube.” She gardened with a passion for her roses, enjoyed doll collecting, and loved sewing. Ruby was the loving wife to James McKeon for 33 years; beloved mother to Stanley, Willard S. Jr., and Brian Shelton, and Dona Hill; step-mother to Lynn; mother-in-law to Lela, Doug and Pam; adored grandmother to 14 beautiful children: Julia, Carlos, Janel, Jeremy, Karen, Jessica, Jillian, Briana, Brandon, Chelsea, Champagnelle, Casey, Jamie, and Dallas, great-grandmother to 26.A celebration of Ruby’s life will be held at 5 p.m., on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at The Mission Bay Boat and Ski Club. The family greatly expresses their thanks to the Hospice of San Diego for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association of San Diego and or Hospice of San Diego, both accept donations on their respective websites. –
