Ruth V. Patchett's Obituary
Ruth was born in San Diego on October 23, 1919. She graduated from Hoover High School in 1937. She married Robert H. Patchett on December 25, 1942 and they resided in Pacific Beach until his death in 1991. Upon the sale of their home in 2007 she moved to San Marcos to be closer to her daughter. She loved gardening and had a beautiful yard to include an array of roses, exotic plants and orchids. She enjoyed several cruises and loved to travel. She is survived by her son Robert (Betty) Patchett and her daughter Nancy (John) Coons, five grandsons, Paul, Kevin, and John Coons, Michael and Tim Patchett, and six great-grandchildren, Connor, Tanner, and Nepal Patchett; Jordon, Jessee and Alexis Coons.Afterglow I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one. I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
