Sally A. Meeks' Obituary
Sally’s life began in the beautiful big timber of our Evergreen State. Her school years began in the parochial school system where she was introduced to Sister Dorothea who made a lasting impression on her penmanship and love of knowledge.Sally loved to dance. At an early age she learned to tap dances, which lead to more advanced dance lessons with Arthur Murray Dance studios.Her aunt, the Baroness, a fashion Icon with I Magnum’s and Bon Marche instilled an appreciation of fine women’s attire and appearance that lasted a lifetime.Sally was always patriotic and promilitary which gave her many great adventures throughout our nation. Her love of many people from around the world was awesome and no person was ever a stranger in her presence.Sally has a boundless love for animals. She even once brought home a cute stray, pregnant dog that she saw teenage kids throwing rocks at. When the puppies were born they were so cute. Sally had no trouble what so ever in finding a loving home for each of the little ones.Sally loved her country and was proud to wear their colors anytime she could to honor America.With that said, she belongs to several service organizations such as;Veterans of Foreign Wars Post Auxiliary #2082 Lemon Grove, CaliforniaM.O.C.A. #82 Lemon Grove, CaliforniaLadies Auxiliary, Fleet Reserve Association, Unit #47 El Cajon, CaliforniaThe Daughters of the American Revolution – Letitia Coxe Shelby Chapter #112Nation Society Daughters of the American Revolution.Most of all she believed in being happy and optimistic and in her later years traveled as much as possible with family and friends. Sally was one great travel mate and so much fun to travel with. She always made travel around the world the best it could be educational, fun and most of all special memories.She truly is a wonderful part of the greatest generation.The Three M’s are bonded together, forever on earth as it is in heaven, forever.
