Nita Freer
I was 11 yrs old when we met at Magnolia Elementary School in El Cajon. We were always friendly and became best friends in high school and never looked back.
One of our favorite and happy memories was when we would ditch our modern dance class (1st period class) in high school to go eat breakfast at Denny’s (at 16 yrs old, it was because we could without much punishment, plus she had a job at the car wash and had money to burn!) Sandy and I have laughed about those days so many times since. Did ya know she was always picky about wanting her floors clean? She was. Without saying, she cherished her children, wanting only the best for their lives. I can also hear her complaining about the dogs drooling or shedding...haha. She loved her doggies.
I will miss her laugh, her carrot cake, and the chance to spend more time with her in our old age. I will miss her calling my husband Paul every year on his birthday for the last 20 odd years. She was thoughtful like that. He too will miss her calls. She made him feel special. There are so many laughable moments to recount over the decades. So many precious memories of you Sandy. AND I will miss calling you Sandy Baby, a fun nickname I had for you.
I loved her.
Rest easy my friend until we meet again.
