Sau King Woo's Obituary
Sau King Louie was born December 24, 1927 to Wah Nown Louie and Heung Hai Lew in Toison, China. She grew up with her brother’s children Kay, Pauline and Mae to whom she treated as sisters. She married Wan Foon Woo in China on June 25, 1948 and immigrated to the United States to join her husband in 1951. They resided in San Diego where they ran a dry cleaning business. Their son, Chuck was born in 1957. The Woos relocated to Chula Vista in 1966 where they opened a Chinese Restaurant. Sau continued to run the restaurant after her husband’s passing in 1985 until her retirement in June, 2006.Much of the restaurant’s success was due to “Sue’s” bright smile and genuine hospitality. She had an ability to remember everyone’s favorites and made sure no one went away hungry. People felt her deep affection and many lifelong friendships developed. Maintaining close family ties meant the most to Sue and she remained close to her nieces and sister-in-law and all their families, even though they resided all over the North American Continent. The love for her son Chuck was only surpassed by the adoration for her two grandsons Garrett and Daniel. She immensely enjoyed watching and being involved in their activities and was a rousing fan at all their school and sporting events. Her admiration for her daughter-in-law grew over the years and she cherished the relationship that developed. Family was everything to Sue.She is survived by her son Chuck, daughter-in-law Suzanne, and grandsons Garrett and Daniel.
