Sharon Roberta Krane's Obituary
Precious Christmas Angel Sharon Krane was born on 12/25/1953 to parents Walter and Doris Krane at Scripps Hospital, La Jolla, CA. Unfortunately, Sharon was deprived of oxygen prior to her birth that wasn't manifested until her toddler years. After her father passed away unexpectedly when she was almost 2, a neurologist performed an unsuccessful spinal procedure on Sharon, who had been running up and down the hallways at Children's Hospital prior to procedure. This resulted in a medical malpractice case in which the doctor was not held liable for the permanent damage he caused as Sharon never walked again. Eventually, Sharon was placed at Fairview Developmental Center in Costa Mesa, CA where she lived until the facility was closed by the State of California in 2019. She returned to San Diego in October, 2019 where she resided in a beautiful home with loving care givers until she passed away, 3 days after receiving a COVID 19 vaccine, in her sleep on 1/17/21.
Sharon is survived by her sister, Kathy Krane Rathbun and nephew, Paul Rathbun of San Diego, who take comfort in knowing Sharon is in Heaven with a new perfect body able to walk and talk reunited with loved ones.
