Sharon F. Nelson's Obituary
Celebrating the life of Sharon Nelson.
Born on May 12, 1940, in Ogden, UT. Her parents were Nephi and Fern Mehr. Sharon considered herself a native of San Diego as she resided the majority of her life in San Diego. She attended Roosevelt Junior High school and San Diego high school. Afterwards Sharon worked mostly in the insurance industry, where she then retired from Industrial Indemnity/ Fremont. She retired in 2000 after devoting 30 plus years. She started volunteering for the American Red Cross later in life. She was married to Harry C Nelson on June 12th, 1959, at the Little Chapel of roses. Describing Sharon in five words is not easy because of the good person she was but to start with it would be caring, witted, loving, stubborn and giving. Some of Sharon's most important life events are getting married, having two children, and traveling. Some of Sharon's favorite hobbies would be reading, traveling, and laughing with the people she cared about. Just some of her favorite music would be Kenny Rogers and country music not to mention a variety of classical rock. She is survived by her two children David Nelson and Karla Richardson, and a legacy of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
