Shirley Elaine Linton's Obituary
Shirley Elaine Linton passed away on November 3rd, 2019 in the comfort of her own home. She was born in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, Canada on September 22nd, 1935 and has resided in San Diego, California since 1957. She is predeceased by James Linton, her husband of 54 years, two brothers, Albert and Normie Harrison; and her parents Arthur and Vivian Harrison. She is survived by her step-son Dale (Carole) of Grassie, Ontario, Canada; two grandchildren, Troy (Jennifer) of Smithville, Ontario, and Tina (Denis) of Vancouver, British Columbia, and two great-granddaughters Ivy and Lucy. She is also survived by her sisters, Mavis MacDonald (Jimmy) and Margaret Broome of Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, and several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her partner Jim Chufo and his family. Shirley was a long-distance telephone operator for over 30 years. Her love, kindness and generosity touched many people and she will be remembered forever in our hearts.A memorial service is planned for 2:00 PM on Monday, November 11th, 2019 in the Sally Lynn Chapel at Greenwood Memorial Park with inurnment immediately following.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sharp Hospice (give.sharp.com).
