Shirley Edna Payton's Obituary
Good evening saints, it is with sadness and joy that I write this text. At 5:15 on June 30, 2015 my queen, the matriarch or our family went to be with the Lord. Sadness because of the loss in my heart and the loss for our family. Joy because she is no longer in the nursing home just lying there not remembering my visits or where she is. Because of her and my grandfather I am the man I am today. Until my grandfather had passed away in January 2001 I never understood the scripture, ” A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children..”(Proverbs 13:22). He and my grandmother stopped their retirement living in Costa Rica and moved here to San Diego to provide for my sister Paula and I. To my mom, and my brother and sisters, I love you and thank God that I have a relationship with each one of you.
