Sierra Simone Sunshine's Obituary
Sierra Simone Sunshine, 27, she lived and worked in the Inland Empire until her early demise as one of 14 victims slain in San Bernardino County at her Environmental Health Specialists training brunch on December 2, 2015, at approximately at 11:10am. Sierra was an amazingly creative, warm, beautiful, tenacious, and loyal daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. Our Sunshine is survived by her mother, Wendy Womack-Smith, her brother, C. Winston J. Eatmon, and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, co-workers, and associates. All these individuals contributed greatly to the development of this amazing woman who was, Sierra Simone Sunshine. Sierra absolutely loved school. If she was unable to attend due to cold or flu, she would cry. Sierra seldom missed school. She was an accomplished student. Her most outstanding awards include, but are not limited to: the Mary McCloud Bethune Award for Academic Excellence on the 13th day of June 2002 when she also received her Certificate of Promotion from Sunnymead Middle School, the Riverside Community College District Dean’s Award on the 12th day of May 2006 for Academic Excellence, her Associate’s Degree from Riverside Community College on the 13th day of June 2006, her Diploma from Moreno Valley High School on the 20th day of June 2006, and her Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Biochemistry with Medical Emphasis from the University of California, Riverside on the 11th day of June 2010. Sierra belonged to many community organizations. For instance, she volunteered at the local food bank, participated in the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, served as a Program Coordinator and a Residential Advisor, and an active alumni on the UCR campus. She enjoyed drawing, painting, dancing, singing, and was a budding jazz enthusiast. She loved cos play, baking, shopping, karate, yoga, hiking, spending time with family, and living life to the fullest and being her best self every moment. She LOVED the thrill of riding rollercoasters! She was FEARLESS!She will be remembered in every pink flower, sunset, and song we experience.It is a privilege and an honor to fulfill her last wish to be laid to rest near her grandmother, Rosemary Womack, at Greenwood Cemetery in San Diego, California.
