Socorro Navarro's Obituary
On September 24, 2022, the angel of our Lord came for our dear mom, Socorro Navarro. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Our mom always worked hard to care for all of us her children especially her grandchildren whom she loved so much. When we were children and lived in Tijuana, our father was away at work and he only came home on the weekends. At his absence, mom cared for us as well as she could, she was mother, father, and friend to all of us. When the family moved to Sand Diego and our father lived at home fulltime, mom continue to play the roles of mother and father as before. During those days, all of us siblings spoke English to each other and we had nicknames for mom like; “La Hoover” and “the slipper” so mom would not understand what we were saying and that we were talking about her. Mom continued to care for us throughout our lives, she gave us advice as best she could, she made us laugh, cooked the best food, and made clothes for our dolls. She was always a loving mother. Alzheimer’s took you away from us; I miss our talks and times together. My heart aches for you mom but I carry you and your last kiss in my heart. The word of the Lord says; “Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.” Yes, we hold the comfort that one day we shall all see each other in Heaven. Mom, I miss you and love you always.
