Soledad E. Ramos' Obituary
Soledad Ramos was born in the province of Cavite, Philippines, on November 9, 1941 and immigrated to the United States on February 14, 1983. Fondly called “Sol” by those close to her, she was in every way the sun in the lives of those she loved. Her smile, laughs and zest for life brought a special warmth whether you were around her at work, a family gathering, or simply sitting beside her enjoying her company. She was, the in every sense of the word, the sun or center of her family whom she cared for and raised with immeasurable love. The second eldest of eight children, she was a strong, supportive, and loving sister, aunt, and daughter. Soledad is survived by her five children: Joyce, Hernando, Gayle, Ron and Agnes along with her ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Whether it was working hard to support her children in her early life, helping raise her grandchildren and showering them with kisses and affection, there is no doubt she gave love wholly and fiercely. Her family continues to cherish her love and memory as she lives on in their hearts.
“My mother
is pure radiance.
She is the sun
I can touch
and kiss
and hold
without
getting burnt.”
