Sophie's Family: We were so sorry to hear the news of Sophie's passing while we were in AZ. I have worked with Sophie at NAS North Island, Balboa Hospital and the NARFE over a lifetime, it seems. First met Sophia in 1961 at IRD at NI. We remained friends through NARFE for all these years. She was a wonderful wife and friend and will be missed by all–she added much to our lives. Kay Watson, NARFE Chap 940.

One of the brightest stars in our midst! I've known and worked with Sophia for over 50 years – both at North Island and while she presided over NARFE. Sophia was always a sparkling presence and her devotion as President of NARFE will remain unsurpassed in the years to come. I will miss her.
We all know at some time in our lives we are going to lose our parents, just when and how is left to fate, and only God know the time. Rest in the comforters arms. This has been so painful it can't be fully expressed. I've lost my best friend and will miss her forever. I can only imagine how glorious when we all see each other in heaven.
88 years of light to the world! I am so grateful that Sophia introduced my family to her church family sixty years ago. Her memory will always be a comfort.
