Stacey Rae Barta's Obituary
Stacey Rae Barta, age 52, passed away on June 9, 2026, after a courageous
battle with cancer.
Stacey was born on February 28, 1974, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Mark and
Conleigh Lohmann. On July 29, 2004, she married her love, Jesse Barta. With
immense joy, they welcomed their son Jacob in 2006. Jacob was lucky to join two
older brothers who looked out for him, filled their home with laughter, and
became his lifelong friends. Stacey loved her stepsons deeply. Over the years,
they built a powerful foundation of mutual love, showing up to celebrate life’s
moments together and enveloping her in comfort when she needed it most.
Stacey dedicated many years of her life to education, touching countless young
lives as a teacher for deaf and hard-of-hearing students, as well as preschool
and kindergarten, before retiring due to health challenges. Guided by a deep and
enduring faith, Stacey was a woman of many talents, but in recent years, she
found her greatest joy and peace in the quiet comfort of knitting and spending
sunny afternoons in her backyard.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jesse Barta; her loving parents, Mark
and Conleigh Lohmann; her three sons; and her three cherished grandchildren,
Jay, Joy, and James. She also leaves behind her “little” sister, Lindsay Tsakistos
(Andreas); her beloved niece, Lydia Jean; her parents-in-law, Tom and Jane
Barta; her sister-in-law, Sam Driss; and her niece, Madison. She is further
survived by a large, loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and many close
cousins
