Stephen Jenkins' Obituary
Stephen Gregory Jenkins was born April 11th 1952 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Moody and Maggie Bell Jenkins. He was the 4th child out of 11 children. He attended Reid Ross elementary and high school in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He moved to San Diego, California were had a career in Environmental Services and Healthcare at UCSD were he retired in 2007 after serving 23 years. After retirement he enjoyed fishing, playing pool, the casinos and long drives. He married Valerie Teresa Andrews on July 21st 1984 at Christ Church Unity. He had three select friends Al, Bassam and Guy. He was not a religious man but he loved God in his own way. He was caring, passionate, loyal, a protector and most important a fighter. He loved old school R&B and soul his favorite song was I can’t help but wait by Gerald Levert but he loved Gladys Knight as well. His most important events in life were getting married and having kids and grandchildren.
Survivors include wife Valerie Son Gregory with wife Jasmine Jenkins grandchildren Jayden, Nariah, Elianna, Omarion. Daughter Latoria Jenkins Son Stephon with wife Norman Jenkins grandchildren Tiana and Tori. Siblings include sisters Yvonne Presley, Toni Taylor, Yolanda People, Greta Jenkins. Brothers Moody Jr, Thaddeus, Wayne and Larry Jenkins Niceness and Nephews a lot passing brothers Craig and Vance Jenkin.
