Sumiye Amano Nakashima's Obituary
Sumiye Amano Nakashima born on October 22, 1934 in California to parents Shigeo and Momoyo Amano. She entered eternal rest on September 11, 2019 in La Mesa, California. She was a proud resident of San Diego for over 64 years. Her husband, James Nakashima, preceded her in death. They raised a family together; having one daughter, Tomoye. Her granddaughter, Riley, was her greatest pride. Sumiye loved her profession as a Bookkeeper at UCSD for over 28 years. She enjoyed traveling and studying Japanese tea ceremony. She also had a love of classical music, Japanese culture and arts and crafts. A well respected and loved, daughter, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and dear friend. She will be forever missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace.
