When I think of Ted, I also think of the Nacino family. I was always amazed at the harmony of their household.
Saturdays usually meant a drive into town. Arnel would prepare the car, polishing and vacuuming before handing the keys to Ted. First stop was dropping Bess at the hair salon, Ted would go food shopping. Arnel would visit friends, Rommel and I roamed the town before we all met up again for the return home. The atmosphere was relaxed, Ted was enjoying one of his routines.
Ted’s love of singing, dancing, playing cards, tennis, food and film was all about fun, his chuckles were infectious, he had confidence and was self-assured but not egotistical or pretentious. He didn’t waste time being critical of others or being boastful about his career. Why would he when life was so enjoyable.
Bess also had a successful career. Like Ted, her work never seemed to get in the way of family life. They made time for their children, their friends and for each other.
Ted had an amazing life and a unique way of encouraging those around him to join in. He was supportive and encouraging without defining the path for you. It was truly about the journey.
My thoughts are with Bess,Arnel,Rommel,Lisa and Braeden at this sad time
