Theodore Roosevelt Scott II's Obituary
Theodore Roosevelt Scott II was born on January 20, 1978 in Frankfurt, Germany to Theodore Roosevelt Scott and Mrs. Glenda Bailey Scott. Theodore was the eldest of two children. He attended Thornton Township High School. Theodore married Karen Johnson Scott on October 1, 2005 in Fresno, California. Theo was a faithful spouse to Karen throughout her US Navy service from 2003 to 2013 as an honorable spouse. Theo supported his wife to maintain and complete a full 20 year career in the US Navy.Theodore was a dedicated servant of The Grove Church in San Diego. Throughout his ministry Theo truly loved God, and it was his desire to build and strengthen men to win souls for Christ. Theo was passionate about the Lord and began a Fathers’ in Christ (FIC) men’s fellowship group at The Grove Church, where men fostered growth through biblically based principles. Theo’s professional journey as a Corrections Officer and Truck Driver empowered him to lead others while reigniting his own walk with Christ.Theo was a Godly devoted, loving, passionate and sincere man. His initial exposure to cooking through employment at Church’s Chicken and Cracker Barrel led to a lifetime of competitive in-home cooking challenges between his wife and children. Theo was not only fabulous in the kitchen, he sowed in the community as a jump rope instructor, Boys and Girls Club basketball coach, spin instructor and launched a successful Backgammon Club at Hedenkamp Elementary School. Naturally, growing up in Chicago nurtured his love for sports teams, specifically the Chicago Bears and Bulls.Many would not know, Theo was an avid rock collector since the sixth grade, growing his collection to well over 150 unique rocks. He also enjoyed vacationing with his family, creating memories with anyone he came in contact with.Left to continue Theo’s legacy; wife Karen, sons Theodore Palmer Scott and Tario Scott, Tedric Scott, Travis Scott and daughter Kayla Scott, sister Jasmine Scott, mother Glenda Scott and father Theodore Scott, nephew Jamar Scott and nieces Aryssa and Solana Scott. All other close relatives, FIC and friends.
