Thomas Elijah Baker Sr.'s Obituary
Thomas Elijah Baker was born and raised in Redlands California, to Wendell W. Baker Sr. and Magdalena Nieto Baker. He was the second of three sons. Thomas came to San Diego when he was 17 and joined the US Army when he turned 18 years of age. After WWII he returned to Los Angeles, where he worked at Lockheed -Burbank and US Post Office. He married Catherine A. Allen in 1951. They moved to San Diego in 1952. In 1962 he went into real estate management, eventually forming his own business EEE-GIA Investment. He retired at the age of 78. He was a gentle loving man, who leaves behind his wife, two son Thomas Jr.( Shirley) and Antonio , two daughters Eloise(Lisa)Morgan (Frank) , Wendellyn Balancier , 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. On July 22, 2011, Thomas E. Baker was called to heaven. He has joined his parents, brother Wendell Jr., daughter, and great grandson. He will be missed by all, Family, friends and everything else that is here on Earth. Tommy, Daddy, Papa we miss and love you. XOXOXO Service will be held at Greenwood Mortuary in the Garden Chapel at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011. A Viewing on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. in the Garden Chapel. Donations in his name can be made to the MS Society.
