Timothy Scott Lowman was a gifted musician, accomplished visual artist, and devoted father whose passion for life left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He lived fully, loved deeply, and brought joy, laughter, and creativity wherever he went.
Born on February 26, 1974, Tim grew into a talented and accomplished musician who toured and traveled extensively sharing his music. He poured his heart into his band, Low Volts, performing across the country and captivating audiences everywhere he went. People were drawn not only to his incredible skill, but to his magnetic presence—he had a rare ability to make every performance feel like a celebration. Music was not just something Tim did; it was who he was.
Tim shared a deep love for the legendary band ZZ Top, and one of the unforgettable highlights of his life was being married by Billy Gibbons—a moment that perfectly reflected his larger-than-life spirit and love for rock and roll.
Beyond music, Tim was a highly skilled visual artist whose creative work supported businesses nationwide. His craftsmanship and artistic vision left a lasting mark across the country. Effortlessly stylish and undeniably cool, Tim brought intention and authenticity to everything he touched. He loved riding motorcycles, working on his beloved Chevy C10, and embracing adventure wherever life led him.
Tim was known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor. He made people feel at ease and turned ordinary moments into unforgettable memories. Any outing with Tim was guaranteed to be filled with laughter, storytelling, and genuine connection.
Above all else, Tim was a loving and devoted father to his daughter, Marlow. She was the light of his life. From bike rides and park days to adventures in the old truck, he cherished every moment spent with her. His love for Marlow was boundless and unwavering.
Tim was taken far too soon on December 28, 2025. Though his time here was brief, his legacy lives on through his music, his art, and most importantly, through his daughter. Marlow will always know how deeply she was loved, and his memory will forever remain a guiding presence in her life.
Survived By
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Nancy D. Lowman, and their cherished daughter, Marlow Lowman; his father, Lynn Lowman and wife, Cate Lowman, of Louisville, Colorado; his mother, Connie Collier and husband, John Johnson, of Grass Valley, California; his sister, Trisha Schulte and husband, Jimmy Schulte, of Carlsbad, California; his sister, Shanna Jones, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; his brother, Travis Jones, of Erie, Colorado; his niece, Sophie Schulte; his nephew, Charlie Timmons; and his niece, Piper Jones.
He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Cynthia Joyner, and stepfather-in-law, Al Joyner; his sisters-in-law, Mary Joyner and Brigitte Bell; his brothers-in-law, Joshua Bell, Skylar Joyner, and Jayden Joyner; along with a host of extended nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, bandmates, and lifelong friends.
Celebration of Life
A Celebration of Life will be held at Bali Hai Restaurant on February 22, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., where family and friends will gather to honor Tim’s life, music, and enduring spirit.
