Gwen and Bob were married on June 21, 1946 in Kent, Ohio.Gwen began her career in nursing in Ohio but after two years the lure of sunny San Diego, where Bob had gone to school to learn sheet metal business and Gwen had family, was too strong and the young couple moved to San Diego.Gwen began her San Diego nursing career at the Balboa Navy Hospital, followed by several years at Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest. The one we love so deeply is resting at God’s will. May she always walk in sunshine, God’s love around her glow. For all the happiness she gave us, only a few will ever know. It broke our hearts to lose her but she did not go alone. For part of us went with her the day God called her home.
