ZAMBRANO MAGANA, Trinidad's Obituary
Obituary: Trinidad Zambrano Magaña
February 3, 1939 – October 20, 2025
Trinidad Zambrano Magaña — lovingly known as Trini, Tía Trini, Mom and Ama — passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, surrounded by family and love. Born on February 3, 1939, she lived 86 beautiful years filled with grace, faith, and devotion to the people she cherished.
Originally from a small ranch in Tamazula, Jalisco, Mexico called Arroyo Hondo, Trinidad was the youngest of six children.
A woman of deep faith and a generous heart, Trinidad found joy in caring for others. Her kitchen was the heart of her home — filled with laughter, warmth, and the comforting aroma of her delicious cooking. Whether she was welcoming family, neighbors, or friends, she made everyone feel that they belonged. Her life was a reflection of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and boundless love.
She is survived by her beloved children: Juan Antonio “Tony” Gomez (Yolanda), Victor Manuel Sanchez, Ernesto “Ernie” Vasquez (Kenya), and Yesiga “Jessica” Lopez Page (Crystal); her grandchildren Sergio, Jacinto “Blue”, Jesus Emilio, Jesse, Michael, Ernesto, Ricky (Angela), Gabriel, Chris, and Elliott; and her great-grandchildren Xavier, Richard Grant and Eloise Trinidad. She is also remembered with love by her extended family, all of whom feel deeply blessed to have been guided by her example and embraced by her kindness.
Trinidad is also survived by her cherished animals — her cockatiel Rolito and her dogs Leo, Lexy, and Rocky — whom she lovingly spoiled with delicious treats, gentle conversation, and affectionate head pats.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jacinto Zambrano and Juana Magana, her sisters Victoria, Guadalupe, Maria, and her brothers Salvador and Marcelino. Though her passing leaves a profound void, her spirit lives on in every act of kindness and every shared meal that brings family together.
Trinidad viewed the world with wonder and gratitude, always finding beauty in simple things — the laughter of her children, the company of friends and family, and prayer each day. Her life was a testament to love, faith, and the power of gratitude.
A celebration of Trinidad’s life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park, Garden Chapel, in San Diego, California. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering her life through songs, stories, and prayers.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal love of God — and may we honor her memory by living with the same kindness, faith, care for our earth, and gratitude that she carried so beautifully.
