Velma Louise Felios' Obituary
Velma Louise (Siefert) Felios, 97, passed away January 19, 2016 in Lovell Wyoming. Velma was born August 5, 1918, to Farris and Lurline (Wilkerson) Siefert of San Diego, California. Velma was raised in San Diego, California in the community of Kensington and graduated in 1935 from Hover Senior High School. She then married Robert George Felios in 1940. They were happily married for over 25 years, until he passed away in 1968. Together they had five children, Barbara (Boots) Shumway; Carol (Bob) Chenault; Robert (Jeri) Felios, Jr.; Thomas (Melissa) Felios, and Patricia (Keith) Ochs. Velma also leaves behind multiple generations, including grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. During the 1990’s she moved to Lovell, Wyoming to be with her daughter Barbara from San Diego, California. She loved to sing, dance, and play the piano. One of her favorite songs to sing to her children was “In the Garden”. Velma was described as an extremely caring person and who often put others before herself. Her spirit will live on in the example she set for her children in her attitude of kindness and selflessness. She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed.A graveside service and Interment will be held on February 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm. at the Greenwood Cemetery in San Diego, California.
