Victor Vanta's Obituary
Victor Vanta, 85, of Henderson, NV passed away peacefully on December 20, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 10, 1938 in Cavite City, Philippines. He was happily married to his wife Rosalie for 51 years before her passing in 2018. Victor and Rosalie immigrated to the United States shortly after marriage to raise their family.
Victor served in the United States Navy for 20 years, during which he received a Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal and Star, the Navy Expeditionary Medal, and more.
After retirement from the US Navy, Victor worked at the United States Postal Service for 25 years. He was an avid bowler who also enjoyed fishing and cooking many delicious Filipino and American dishes for family and countless friends.
He is survived by his daughters Maria and Leslie; his sons in-law, Tim and Mike; and his six grandchildren Brandon (Val), Kristen, Cameron, Natalie, Joshua, and Matthew.
Victor was a wonderful father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be sorely missed by us all.
