Victoria Davis' Obituary
Victoria Davis, 95, of San Diego, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 14, 2016. She passed away peacefully in her home after being visited and comforted by family. She was born in Chicago,IL on March 5, 1921 to George and Helen Feistamel of Austria-Hungary. She was the fourth of seven children. Victoria completed her nursing education at Mount Sinai Hospital School of Practical Nursing in Miami Beach, Florida in 1953. Victoria was a LVN and worked as a neonatal nurse. She worked for St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago, IL for 20 years and retired in 1982. She relocated to San Diego, CA with her family in 1983. Victoria loved to read her bible, pray for others and spend time with family. She truly lived life to the fullest with simple pleasures; baking, gardening, traveling, chatting with friends and family, enjoying arts & crafts and helping others whenever she could. She also actively donated to Love-a-Child, Coveted House, St. Labre Indian School, San Diego Food Bank, Rescue Mission, Samaritan’s Purse, In Touch Ministries and many others. She also loved visiting the ocean, mountains, and lakes. She particularly enjoyed vacationing in Cheboygan, MI when living in Chicago. Victoria was preceded in death by her son, Mark Davis and former husband, Charles Davis. She is survived by her sons, Victor Davis, Gregory Davis, Scott Davis, her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who lovingly refer to her as “Oma”, and many other friends and family. Victoria will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving mother, grandmother, lover of Christ and by her kind and caring spirit.
