Victoria Jocson's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Victoria Villaluz Jocson
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Victoria Villaluz Jocson, who left us on October 10, 2023 at the age of 92. She peacefully departed this world under the exceptional and compassionate care of Sharp ParkView Hospice Home.
Victoria was born on October 30, 1930 in Naic Cavite Philippines to Matias and Magdalena Villaluz. She lived a life filled with love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and her Catholic faith. Victoria was a beacon of warmth, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her compassion touched the lives of everyone she met.
Victoria was a devoted mother, spouse, and friend. She cherished her family above all else and leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 40 years, Juanito Jocson and is survived by her children Ford (Maria) Jocson and Tess (Joseph) Jocson-Arzaga, her grandchildren Jennifer (Reagan) Bennett, Jason (Aileen) Jocson, Joseph Jr, Jonathan, and Jordan Roley-Arzaga, and great-grandchildren Tyler and Jacob Bennett and Ryker, Ella, and Novalee Jocson.
Victoria was a dedicated and compassionate elementary school teacher. Her commitment to her students went beyond the textbooks; she instilled in them the values of kindness, empathy, and the importance of lifelong learning. After devoting 13 years of her life to shaping young minds and nurturing the potential within each of her students, she made the heartfelt decision to leave her teaching career behind to focus on raising her children.
Victoria's passion for cooking, primarily Filipino favorites like pancit and lumpia, brought joy and warmth to the hearts of family and friends. Her legacy lives on in every recipe she shared and every meal she prepared, reminding us of the love she poured into her cooking and the bond it created among us all.
Victoria was also passionate about her Catholic faith. When physical limitations kept her from attending mass in person, her faith remained steadfast as she tuned into EWTN, finding solace and spiritual connection through televised worship.
Victoria's memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.
