Wesley Ryan Bigboy's Obituary
Wesley Ryan Bigboy, 38, of San Diego, California, passed away on November 6, 2023. Wesley was born on July 7, 1985, in San Diego, California, to his mother LaVerne and father Daniel. He is survived by his beloved daughter Zoe, his sister Alyson, his brother Daniel, his half-sister Danielle and Amy and half-brother Jeremiah, as well as several uncles, aunts, and many cousins.
He was preceded by his father Daniel (Danny), brother David Glen, uncle Richard (Ricky) and Dale, his grandparents Anselmo and Theresa and great-grandmother Francis who helped raise him and grandparents Corrine, Vincent and Glenn.
Wesley had a vibrant personality and was known for his compassion, helpfulness, perceptiveness and playfulness. He cherished his family and the birth of his daughter Zoe, was the most important event in his life. Wesley was a handsomely charismatic individual.
In terms of education, Wesley attended Cajon Park School in Santee, San Altos Elementary and Palm Middle School in Lemon Grove, and graduated from Winston Prepatory High School in Del Mar, as part of the Grossmont High School District.
After graduating high school, Wesley embarked on a career in the construction industry. He initially worked as a framer with the UBC union before joining the electrical IBEW union, where he worked as an apprentice to become an electrician.
Wesley found solace and restoration at Journey Community Church in La Mesa. It was a place where his soul was nurtured.
Outside of his professional life, Wesley had a wide range of hobbies that brought him joy. He loved spending time outdoors, engaging in activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, cycling, and surfing. He also had a passion for cooking and enjoyed duplicating and creating his own delicious entrées. Wesley was an avid reader and had a talent for drawing and restoring furniture. He appreciated all types of music, with a recent fondness for country music. He believed that "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd should be his personal anthem.
Memorial services for Wesley Ryan Bigboy will be held on March 15 at 11 AM at Greenwood Mortuary, located at 4300 Imperial Avenue, San Diego, CA 92113. The funeral home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Wesley will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his soul, through the mercy of God, rest in eternal peace.
