Grandpa, you were the kind of person that you wanted to make proud. Because you were so strong headed and hardworking you made me want to better. You came off as a no nonsense kind of guy, but I was one of the lucky people to see how kind hearted, funny, and loving you were. I loved all the time I had with you, and wish I had more of it. Grandpa! A person whom I loved so much! You are such a wonderful person and I am forever grateful for all your wise words and your lessons! I don’t really know how to express how much it hurts to have lost you! As I have returned home from being with Grandma and trying hard to get back in the routine of work you are still weighing heavy on my mind! Please tell uncle Lonnie hello for me! Well Bill, I never thought about how much I would miss you until you were gone. I try to keep myself busy to ease the pain but then I look over at the side of my house and I see the recyclables I was saving for you and you pop back into my head. I’m working in my garage and look over at the water heater you recently helped me install and I recall how we wrestled with that thing for hours to get it off the stand and the new one back on it. I think back to my 15th birthday party and how you escorted the trouble makers that crashed the party out the front door. I was there at Mom and Dads when you got the call you were hired at SDG&E. You were so excited as I watched you run at full speed across the street to tell Shirley the good news. I’ll never forget your “Archie Bunker glare” whenever you were serious about something. Thank you for your generosity at all the Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners and thank you for loving my sister. I’m sure I’ll think of more as the days go on. Till we meet again – Kirby

Uncle Bill was always there to help and pitch in when needed. He was always laughing and smiling and I will miss that so much. His departure was way too soon but I know he is in a good place and with Lonnie again. I hope he knew how much we all love him and how dearly we will all miss him. You were the kind of man that every father wanted his daughter to marry. You were loving supportive protective, a best friend and best of all the husband to my sister.The two of you were a beautiful couple. Then there were three, you Shirley and me, Because the two of you always helped me out and we were always together. I guess I thought the three of us were invincible. Never realizing that one of us may grow weary and be called away to heaven. Shirley and I will carry-on but it will not be the same without you. A fond memory of you, was asking for the most direct route to my destination. You would always give me three or four. ThenI had to figure out the best and shortest or proceed to MapQuest. When I die and asked for my directions to Heaven do you think maybe you could give me the most direct route. There will never be another you and we were so lucky to have you for as long as we did. The only thing that eases the pain and allows me to say good bye is knowing you are with Lonnie again.

This is my dad! He was so kind hearted and hard working He meant the world to me. His wisdom he shared from when I was a child up thru my adult years was ever so valuable! He wasn’t afraid of hard work and expected that from his kids. Thank you dad, thank you for being there for me, making me the person I am today. I will miss you and our morning visits. I take with me all the memories and good times.never forget??. Forever in my heart, love you and miss you. Tell Lonnie I said hi !
