It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother William Henry Gonzalez on April 21st, 2025, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. William was born in San Diego on August 21s, 1942 to Henry Rivero Read Obituary

For me, honesty every seasonal event became a canvas for his creativity.
Christmas was meticulously decorated with decorations that were unique and beautiful. When he would go shopping for these decorations he would buy me a set for Christmas. I get to have them on my tree every year as another special memory. He made Halloween special. So much detail in his decorating. With spooky decorations and spider webs, that brought the holiday to life. We always started at Grandmas house to see what his goodies were because he always had something extra special for my kids. And Easter when my kids were little he dyed eggs with them. He loved to create a beautiful centerpiece, capturing the essence of the season.
On my birthday he and Grandma would come over a bring me cupcakes. He was a giving and thoughtful Uncle.
I could count on him to call me for all the Holidays and have lengthy conversations.
Getting an update on the family.
He loved to bake, filling Grandma’s house with the aroma of cookies, and pies.His coffee-making ritual, complete with a French press, it was a detail I loved about him. A simple act that created a warm and inviting atmosphere.
He had a sense of humor, and loved to laugh.

He had a way of sharing the best moments, Aliana mentioned that Uncle B watched the movie Burlesque a movie featuring Cher and Cristina Aguilera, with her. His interest of sharing movies. He would buy videos for the family to watch at home. Harry and the Henderson’s was one of them. He gifted her tickets to various shows at the civic theater, so she could experienced the joy of live performances. It was one of the best moments, This showed how much he wanted to create lasting memories.

Lucky often talked about Uncle B, who brought him books from the White Rabbit Bookstore, giving him a love for reading. Uncle B and Grandma would take him to FAO Schwarz, toy store, where every visit ended up with him wanting a toy. When Christmas came he got the Fire Truck he’d fuss over. Again a memory in the making. He was the type of uncle who focused on the details, creating memories the would last a lifetime. That’s how he showed his love.
I will always remember Cousin Billy with his camera, clicking away at Family and Friends
I spent a lot of time at my brother house, especially for holidays. We had an agreement. I could stay as long as I wanted, as long as I provided him a Starbucks coffee every morning. Each morning, as I was leaving to fetch the coffee, he would say, “Make sure it’s hot with a splash of cream on the side”. Funny thing is, sometimes the Starbucks people would say, “Oh, for William, huh?”. They knew him well. I will miss this silly task!
Bill was always welcoming whenever I would drive down Pelusa street he would always have a good conversation with me gone but never forgotten RIP❤️🙏🏾
