William Bernard Vigghiany's Obituary
William “Billy” Vigghiany, 79, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, May 28th. The son of Bernard and Anne Vigghiany, formerly of Albany, NY, he is survived by his three daughters, Vena Gunches (Joseph), Lori Vigghiany, and Angela Rieta (Samuel). He also leaves behind a brother, Robert ‘Bobby,’ and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. At an early age, Billy expressed a gift for drawing, and worked for years in the profession as an architectural draftsman designing many San Diego landmarks. He was also a talented poker player and won several local and national poker titles, including taking third place in the 1990 Binion’s World Series of Poker. He lived life on his own terms and went out while he was ahead, like all the best gamblers do.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made directly to the American Diabetes Association in his name.
