William Wayne White
Always remembered for his smile, humor, and helpful hand, William – known to his family, friends, and coworkers as “Billy” and “Bill” – is deeply loved and missed. Billy was born and raised in Coronado, the seventh of nine children from the marriage of James and Mae White. After retiring from San Diego Metropolitan Transit System, he worked for ABM Industries as the sole maintenance engineer at Optimum Health Institute, and also served as a community handyman. In life Billy took great pleasure in many pastimes including fishing, riding his motorcycle, listening to music, handiwork, and helping and bringing smiles to others. But he took the greatest pleasure in being a dad to his daughter, Taylor Ann. May the freedom of transition continue to lift and lighten his spirit as we continue to carry the warmth of his fun-loving presence in our hearts.
