Willis C. Johnson's Obituary
Willis “Bill” Cushing Johnson was born in La Jolla, CA on May 27, 1928 to Marie and Clarence Johnson. He passed from death into life into the loving arms of his savior Jesus Christ in San Diego, California on June 7, 2021 at the age of 93.
Bill leaves his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia Johnson, as well as their daughters: Julie (Ken) Labbe, Jean (James) Goodall, Joyce Johnson and their son: David Johnson.
His grandchildren are: Jesse Labbe, Rachel (Osiris) Rogerio, Erin (Jeff) Takiue, Luke (Megan) Goodall
He is blessed with 11 Great-Grandchildren.
A native San Diegan he grew up in the La Jolla and Mission HIlls communities. He graduated from San Diego High School, served in the Army and then attended trade school. He became a master plumber. He was a member of the Southern California Pipe Trades Union. He raised his family in Pacific Beach and then the Clairemont community. He was a member of Clairemont Emmanual Baptist church and attended Horizon Christian Fellowship. He volunteered many hours to see others succeed. He kept very busy remodeling and maintaining rental properties. He loved spending time with his family always generously helping them to get work done or spend fun vacations together.
He has had a life well lived. He will be greatly missed by his family who love him very much.
