Yim Fong Chan's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Yim Fong Chan April 2, 1937 – June 27, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, Yim Fong Chan, who peacefully passed away on June 27, 2026, at the age of 89.
Born on April 2, 1937, in China, Yim Fong Chan lived a life filled with strength, love, and devotion to her family. She made her home in both China and the United States, carrying with her the traditions, values, and resilience that shaped the lives of those around her.
Yim Fong Chan was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy came from being surrounded by her family. She was known for her gentle heart, strength, kindness, and unwavering love. She welcomed everyone with warmth and made those around her feel cared for and cherished.
One of Grandma’s greatest joys was gathering with her loved ones to enjoy dim sum. Those meals were filled with laughter, stories, and togetherness, creating memories that her family will treasure forever. Her love was expressed through the time she shared with those closest to her, and her presence brought comfort to every family gathering.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we are grateful for the many years we shared with her and for the lasting legacy she leaves behind. Her love, wisdom, and compassion will continue to guide and inspire us for generations to come.
A funeral service honoring the life of Yim Fong Chan will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Greenwood Memorial. Family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating her life, sharing memories, and saying our final farewell.
Though she is no longer with us in person, her love will remain in our hearts forever. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
